The
lawyer informed the Human Rights Defender that the mental health hospital wants
to transfer his client from the general supervision ward to the special
supervision ward without a legally binding act in order to continue forced
treatment.
According
to the lawyer, he has not received the court's decision yet and if he does, he
wants to appeal. In relation to the raised issue, contact was immediately
established with the head of the mental health hospital, the factual
circumstances of the case were presented, and the relevant regulations of the Criminal
Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia were clarified.
As a result of the quick response of the Human
Rights Defender, the implementation of the decision to appoint the citizen to
compulsory treatment in the psychiatric ward of special control was suspended
until the judicial act entered into legal force.
