Today,
on August 8, on the instructions of Human Rights Defender Anahit Manasyan, the
rapid responce team of HRD went to Yerevan police departments within the
framework of the case of detention of the citizens who were carrying out a
demonstration near the Government building.
Private
conversations will be held with the detained citizens, the grounds for their
detention and the state of ensuring their rights will be examined.
Furthermore,
an examination of the documentation generated by the Police in relation to this
matter will be conducted.
The
HRD staff will release a subsequent communication providing further particulars
on this matter.
