The
availability of building conditions is one of the guarantees of effective work.
The buildings allocated to the staff of the Human Rights Defender, including
regional subdivisions, must be accessible to the needs of every citizen who
applies to us, including persons with disabilities. The Defender Anahit
Manasyan announced this today, on July 12, during the consultation held with
the staff.
In
particular, it is important to have consultation rooms where citizens can have
private conversations with the staff without the participation of a third
party.
As an
urgent matter, the Defender also emphasized the importance of carrying out
certain activities in the regional subdivisions. In this context, she
specifically referred to the Lori regional subdivision, the opening ceremony of
which took place on July 4, 2023, but the ramp has not yet been installed.
After
the Defender assumed the powers, a study was conducted in the HRD office and
the existing problems were revealed in order to solve them in a short period.
From financial matters to the required workforce: the information is already being
finalized. Specialists will be involved in the solution development process.
In
the framework of the consultation, a number of issues related to working
mechanisms were discussed and and instructions were given.
