In accordance with widespread information, the criminal
investigation officer of Mush police station attacked human rights activist
Karapet Poghosyan in the store. In relation to the incident, a discussion
procedure was started on the initiative of the Human Rights Defender Anahit
Manasyan.
Corresponding letters will be addressed to the General
Prosecutor's Office of the RA and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the RA,
with the request to make the circumstances of the case the subject of a
detailed and comprehensive investigation.
The Human Rights Defender emphasizes once again that any
act of violence is highly unacceptable and condemnableIt is of key importance
to take into account that circumstance for every representative of a law
enforcement body.
