Taking into account the wide public interest in the live
broadcast by Tigran Arakelyan on social networks and mass media, we inform you
that on June 19, the hotline of the Human Rights Defender’s
office was alerted by Tigran Arakelyan.
The latter stated that he is in the Detention Center and
violence was used against him in the investigative body. Immediately after
receiving the call, the Defender's representatives visited the detention center and met with Tigran Arakelyan.
During the private conversation, all the issues raised by
him were recorded and on the same day, they were sent in a separate letter to
the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Armenia in order to make
them the subject of investigation within the framework of the criminal
proceedings.
