Today, on May 12, the representatives of the Human
Rights Defender visited the Central Clinical Military Hospital of the Ministry
of Defence of Armenia to meet with two servicemen who were injured the previous
day as a result of the aggression by Azerbaijan towards the Sotk settlement of
Gegharkunik region.
The Defender’s representatives conducted an on-site
assessment of the health condition of the injured servicemen and the medical
care they were receiving. As part of the visit, private interviews were held
with the injured servicemen and their family members to address their concerns.
The protection of the rights of servicemen and their
families remains a key priority for the Human Rights Defender.
We wish the servicemen a speedy recovery.
