The monitoring visits, which are initiated by the Human Rights Defender, continue in Tavush province. On the first day of the monitoring process, visits were conducted to Azatamut, Baghanis, Kirants and Voskepar border villages of Tavush province.
During the monitoring visits, private interviews and discussions were held with the residents of the communities. Afterwards, the issues raised by the residents were also discussed with the representatives of the municipality.
Within the framework of the conducted visits, special attention was paid to the realization of children's right to education, to study of the current possibilities of creating an inclusive environment, based on which discussions pre-school educational institutions, and the representatives of educational institutions.
During the monitoring visit, individual issues regarding the right to health care and social rights of individuals, as well as systemic problems related to socio-economic and cultural rights, and security issues of the residents of the communities were raised.
Within the competence of the Human Rights Defender, necessary steps were taken on site for the purpose of solving individual problems, while in relation to systemic issues, clarifications were requested from the representatives of various competent authorities.
