Human Rights Defender Ms. Kristinne Grigoryan received Mr. Stephan Malerius, Director of the Regional Program “Political Dialogue South Caucasus” of the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung/Foundation and Ms. Liana Marukyan, Head of the Yerevan Office.
Today, the Human Rights Defender Ms. Kristinne Grigoryan received Mr. Stephan Malerius, Director of the Regional Program “Political Dialogue South Caucasus” of the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung/Foundation and Ms. Liana Marukyan, Head of the Yerevan Office.
Welcoming the guests, Ms. Grigoryan emphasized the fruitful cooperation between the Foundation and the Defender's Office and expressed willingness to continue it.
Mr. Stephan Malerius and Ms. Liana Marukyan reflected on the main directions of cooperation, jointly implemented programs, including works on staff training, as well as they expressed readiness to support the cooperation between the Armenian and Georgian Ombudsman Institutions within the framework of strengthening regional cooperation.
Referring to the priorities of her activity, the Defender emphasized the need to introduce effective tools in the field of protection of the rights of servicemen, as well as stressed the importance of carrying out works in the field of anti-discrimination and protection of women's rights. Defender Grigoryan also reflected on the efforts aimed at developing possible mechanisms for including the proposals summarized in the Defender's annual reports in the Action Plan deriving from the National Strategy for Human Rights Protection.
The opportunities for expanding the cooperation were discussed, and an agreement was reached to carry out joint activities in the outlined directions.
