In an application addressed to the RA Human Rights Defender, the father of a conscript informed that during the winter conscription 2015 his son was diagnosed with a disease and by the decision of Republican Military Draft Commission received a military deferment because of his health condition with a term of up to one year. In 2016 after undergoing examination in another medical institution, as certifies the applicant, it was found that there was no improvement in his son’s health condition. Furthermore, his state of health deteriorated. However, in December 2016 the Central Medical Commission recognized the conscript suited for military service with limitations.
Within the discussion of a complaint by the RA Human Rights Defender’s Office and as a result of cooperation with RA Ministry of Deference during 2017 the conscript has been twice presented to the Central Medical Commission for examination. In addition, he underwent medical examination in a civil medical institution and in Yerevan Central Military Hospital.
As a result of the above-mentioned medical examinations the conscript received the right of deferment from compulsory military service based on his health condition.
