In 2021, the number of
the applications-complaints addressed to the Human Rights Defender, and the
proceedings by his personal initiative increased again, to a total of 21181.
For comparison, in 2015
the number of applications-complaints was 5.214, in 2016 – 5.113, in 2017 –
6.417, while in 2018 the figure almost increased twofold to 10.744. In 2019,
the number of applications- complaints was 13.140, while in 2020, the number
reached 14.780.
