The
citizen applied to the Human Rights Defender to receive their assistance to return
to her position after the end of her maternity leave for taking care of a child
under the age of three.
She
informed the Defender that since 2013, she worked as an assistant educator in a
community kindergarten that has a status of non-profit organization. Due to the
birth of her second, third, and forth children, she has been on a maternity
leave since March 2017. As a result, another person was employed by the
kindergarten to fill her position. For the purpose of returning to her work,
she submitted a written application to the principle of the kindergarten, who
informed her that her positioned was filled.
Letter
were addressed to the competent bodies in relation to the above-mentioned
issue. As a result, the citizen was reinstated to her position.
