The Human Rights Defender
of Armenia Mr. Arman Tatoyan held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary
and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Armenia H.E.
Mr. Sergei Kopyrkin.
Several issues were
discussed during the meeting, including the issue of the urgency of the return
of the Armenian captives still held in Azerbaijan.
The Defender highlighted
the importance of the effective cooperation with the Russian Embassy in
Armenia, and expressed their gratitude the established joint activities on the
operative exchange of information on the protection of the rights of our
compatriots in Russia
The Human Rights Defender
highlighted the importance of the high-level cooperation based on full mutual
trust with the High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Ms.
Tatiana Moskalkova.
The parties to the
meeting agreed to continue the cooperation and the exchange of information on
the field of human rights protection.
