The Human Rights Defender of Armenia has published an informative video, explaining the role of the institution in combating hate speech.
Apart from individual cases, the Human Rights Defender carries out also a systemic fight against hate speech through awareness raising campaigns and educational programs, support to legislative changes.
This awareness-raising video on combating hate speech has been prepared in the framework of the project “Strengthening the access to justice through non-judiciary redress mechanisms for victims of discrimination, hate crime and hate speech”, funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of Europe in their Partnership for Good Governance II.
The message of the video is that we should live together as a democratic and harmonious society, respecting each other’s rights and dignity.
