The Office of the Human Rights Defender recently published "Let Us Learn the Rights of the Child" guideline, which is the result of the cooperation between the Office of the Human Rights Defender and UNICEF.
The handbook was guaranteed by the decree of the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia to be used as an educational material in schools.
The Division of the Protection of Children's Rights of the Office of the Human Rights Defender has made tremendous efforts to prepare this guide.
It is necessary to increase the awareness of children about their rights and the existing opportunities for exercising those rights: In this case, children will be able to properly exercise their rights, protect the rights of other children, prevent their violation, as well as be responsible citizens.
The guideline presents common issues related to children's rights, and through questions and answers, and discussions, it provides an opportunity to learn about children's rights, as well as to find solutions in the best interests of the child in specific situations.
