On the instructions of the Human Rights Defender of
Armenia, the representatives of the Office visited Vartashen penitentiary
institution, in relation to the protection of the rights of Mr. Mamkion
Aslanyan, the previous Head of Vanadzor, and a current elected member of the
Council of Elders of the city.
Private interviews will be held with Mr. Aslanyan, the
necessary documents and the conditions of his rights will be analyzed.
Necessary measures will be undertaken based on the
results of the studies.
