According to the November
9, 2021, official evaluation of the co-rapporteurs of the Parliamentary
Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) for the monitoring of obligations and
commitments by Armenia, the institutional checks and balances of Armenia are in
the stage of development, and that the Human Rights Defender provides an
existing system of restraints, and checks and balances.
It is an honor when it is
proved at the prestigious international level that the Human Rights Defender in
Armenia is truly independent and has a well-established role of checks and
balances in the country.
This testifies to the
significance of the international perception of our structure and to its key
role in the country.
