The Office of the Human Rights Defender of Armenia publishes
a factual analysis of the unlawful presence of the Azerbaijani armed forces in
the immediate vicinity of the villages of Gegharkunik province, and an analysis
of one of the cases of the unlawful inforcement works of their positions.
As a result of the criminal activities and unlawful presence
of the Azerbaijani armed forces, an Armenian business company is not able to
use the 200 hectares of land (on 75 hectares of which it has built windmills) legally
allocated to it by the decision of the Armenian Government and the ownership
certificate of the Cadastere Committee. The company has been unlawfully denied
of its right to conduct business, and the damages it has suffered are around 5
million USDs.
Moreover, as a result of the unlawful deployments of the servicemen
of the Azerbaijani armed forces, the civilian population have come under its
direct line of fire; it is threatened by regular shootings and their security
and peaceful life have been disrupted. The right to life of the people have
been violated, and they have been deprived of their right to property, and the
opportunity to earn a family income through agricultural work.
These facts will be sent to relevant international
organization, as well as to the state bodies of Armenia and NGOs.
