The
citizen applied to the Human Rights Defender of Armenia for assistance in
receiving the lump-sum childbirth allowance for the birth of the second child
instead of her husband who is considered to a missing after the last war.
She informed that before the start of the war
her husband had applied to the regional division of the Social Security Service
to receive the lump-sum childbirth allowance (300.000 Armenian Drams) which was
transferred to the ban account of her husband; the bank refused to transfer the
allowance money to her.
The
wife of the missing person found herself in hassles: Different state bodies
were demanding from her different documents.
The
Office of the Human Rights Defender discussed the raised issue orally and in
written for with the competent state bodies.
As a
result of the cooperation between the Human Rights Defender and the Social
Security Service, the wife was able to receive the lump-sum childbirth
allowance for the birth of the second child.
