Today, the Human Rights Defender Mr. Arman Tatoyan
received the French Parliamentary Delegation.
The Delegation of the Armenia-France Friendship Group
of the French National Assembly led by Vice-President of the French National
Assembly Guy Tiessie, included Vice-President of Armenia and France Friendship
Group of the French National Assembly Jean-Pierre Cubertafon, and deputies Marguerite
Deprez-Audebert, and Xavier Breton.
The Defender, Arman Tatoyan presented the war crimes
committed by Azerbaijani armed forces during the November-December 2020 war in
Artsakh.
The Defender touched upon the urgency of the return of
Armenian captives in Azerbaijan, noting that the behavior of Azerbaijani
authorities brutally violates international demands, introducing captives as
′′terrorists” or “saboteurs.”
The Defender noted that all of the soldiers and
civilians of the Armenian side were captured by the Azerbaijani armed forces
under the current, ongoing armed conflict, thus they are all captives, and all
should be released immediately and returned to their homeland without any
political or other conditions.
Azerbaijani authorities are artificially protracting
and politicizing the situation, by brutally violating the rights of captives
and their families, and causing them suffering and creating tension in society.
The Defender emphasized that the highest bodies of
Azerbaijani authorities continue their policy of Armenophobia, racism and fascism
in Azerbaijan, evidenced by the opening of the so-called “exhibition-park” in
Baku regarding the September-November 2020 war. He brought attention to the
fact that Armenian soldiers' mannequins are especially represented in a
humiliated state, and the park is open even for minor children.
The parties have reached an agreement to cooperate in
the field of human rights protection.
Mr. Arman Tatoyan
