The
Office of the Human Rights Defender of Armenia paid tribute to the memory of
the victims of the Armenian Genocide.
Organized
and implemented by the state, millions were killed, tortured, deprived of their
possessions and were deported in the Ottoman Empire, simply for the reason that
they were Armenian.
The
Azerbaijani authorities pursued the same genocidal policy during the 2020
Artsakh war; a policy which still continues today.
To
not recognize and to not condemn the Armenian genocide, and to not hold the
perpetrators accountable, will lead to new genocides and new crimes.
