Compelling
proof points to Azerbaijan’s gross violations of the rights of civilians in Artsakh
during the 2020 september-november war.
More than 100,000 civilians were displaced from their homes
during the war.
As a result of the war, some 40,000 people were left homeless
and/or deprived of their homes, personal belongings, basic standards of living
and other rights.
As a result of the attacks by the Azerbaijani armed forces,
about 30,000 school and kindergarten children were deprived of education during
the war, and 12 kindergartens and 71 schools were damaged or destroyed.
Between September 27, 2020 to January 28, 2021, there were 72
civilians fatalities. These civilians were killed, among other means, by
ill-treatment and torture.
The list of 163 civilians who were injured, includes some with
life-long disabilities.
