At the instruction of the
Human Rights Defender, a rapid response group visited Police units to protect
the rights of the protesters in the Republic Square.
Private interviews will
be held with the apprehended citizens, the grounds of their apprehension, the
state of protection of their rights, as well as the relevant documents prepared
by the law enforcement bodies will be examined.
Earlier today, rapid
response groups were also sent to the Police Units of Yerevan and Gyumri to
protect the rights of participants of the assemblies.
The Office of the Human
Rights Defender continues to monitor the ongoing assemblies.
