The Human Rights Defender
of Armenia Mr. Arman Tatoyan today received the Ambassador Extraordinary and
Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Sweden to Armenia Mr. Patrik Svensson.
During the meeting the Defender
presented facts about the atrocities and malicious acts by the Azeri armed
forces against the peaceful population, including the use of prohibited cluster
and phosphorous munitions against the civilians and large scale destruction of
civilian infrastructure.
The Human Rights Defender
emphasized that the Azeri’s undifferentiated attacks against the civilian
population of Artsakh and Armenia come amid enormous hate speech against the
ethnic Armenians. The level of hatred is so high that it results in atrocities
and torture, as well as cruel treatment. Then, all that is being purposely published
on the Azerbaijani social media, receiving public praise and encouragement to
kill Armenians.
The participants of the
meeting stressed the importance of cooperation in the field of human rights
protection and reached new agreements for cooperation.
