Today,
the Human Rights Defender Mr. Arman Tatoyan had a discussion with the Head of
the Delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Armenia
Ms. Claire Meytraud.
The
Defender presented information recorded by the Defender’s Office about the shelling
towards the civilian settlements of Armenian Tavush region by the Azerbaijani
Armed forces since July 12, as well as about the alerting calls received by the
Defender’s Office from the civilian settlements.
A
reference was made to the international reports of the Defender as well. They
will also be sent to the Red Cross office in Geneva.
Taking
into account the mandate of the International Committee of the Red Cross, as
well as the agreement with the Head of the Armenian delegation, we are not in a
position to provide other details at the moment.
