Today
is World Refugee Day.
The
state's commitment to protect refugee’s rights is high, since they are less
informed about their rights and for other reasons. In each country, refugees
must be equally protected and fully integrated into society.
In
this year’s report, the European Network of National Human Rights Institutions
(ENNHRI) recognized the experience of the Armenian Human Rights Defender as one
of the leading in this field.
Today,
an important [online] conference was organized on the initiative of the Head of
the International Center for Human Development, Mr. Tevan Poghosyan, with the
support of the Migration Service of Armenia and the Office of the United
Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Armenia. The UN Resident
Coordinator in Armenia, Mr. Shombi Sharp also made important remarks.
Both
with Mr. Armen Ghazaryan, the Head of the Migration Service of Armenia and Ms. Anna-Carin
Ost, the UNHCR Representative in Armenia, we are implementing effective projects
aimed at protecting the rights of refugees.
Mr.
Arman Tatoyan

Human Rights Defender of Armenia
