Ms. Tatiana Merzlyakova, Commissioner
for Human Rights in Sverdlovsk Region of the Russian Federation applied to Mr.
Arman Tatoyan, the Human Rights Defender of Armenia, requesting assistance in
organizing the entry of an Armenian with Russian citizenship to Armenia.
The Commissioner informed that the
applicant’s wife and two children have been in Armenia since October 2019 and
due to family issues the presence of their father in Armenia was necessary.
Ms. Tatiana Merzlyakova also noted that
the citizen expressed readiness to fly to Armenia on the next flight from
Russia, however, he had a fear that his entry to the territory of the Republic
of Armenia would not be allowed during the State of Emergency on the basis of
citizenship.
An official letter regarding the issue
was sent to the Commandant.
In order to solve the issue, the Human
Rights Defender cooperated with the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Armenia
in Yekaterinburg and the Commandant.
Today, as a result of the cooperation the
citizen arrived in Armenia.
