The Human
Rights Defender Mr. Arman Tatoyan made reflected on using the RA Prime
Minister’s video of non-broadcast purposes for mocking, noting that the state
and national symbols, starting from the President, the Prime Minister, the
Armenian Holy Apostolic Church and His Holiness should be held in high regard.
The statement particularly reads:
“It is
immoral and absolutely unacceptable to mock
the head of the State, including such attempts, by using the video of
non-broadcast purposes of the Prime Minister of Armenia”. I am especially
concerned how it is presented to the public and the latter’s reaction to it.
Is this
how we imagine the development of our statehood and people’s potential? Is this
our public agenda?
Such an
attitude or reaction to a public figure, an opponent, or even a political
opposition or a friend and relative is unacceptable. We must be guided by the
high respect for the symbols of our state and people, from the President and
the Prime Minister to the Armenian Holy Apostolic Church and His Holiness.
Otherwise, we will have neither harmony in our public life, nor solidarity and
peace between the generations. This is the imperative of the Armenian
statehood, dignity and devotion of each of us.”
