Citizens continue to disregard the rules on preventing
the spread of the new coronavirus.
The Human Rights Defender’s monitoring of social
networks and media publications show that people continue non-compliance with
the demand for leaving houses only for absolute necessities and spend a long
time in parks and yards.
It should be noted that the spread of the new
coronavirus in Armenia raised issues of national importance that are primarily connected
with the protection of health of the entire population. They concern the state
security (economic, legal security, etc.).
In this difficult situation, we need solidarity,
mutual respect, and trust for each other. These factors are important for fully
addressing the prevention of the coronavirus through joint efforts.
For overcoming this challenging and responsible period
emerged due to objective reasons, each of us should fully perform
their duties.
The return to normal life is possible in case of
staying at home and maintaining preventive rules.
The Human Rights Defender calls on the citizens not to
disregard the threat of the spread of the coronavirus and to stay at home.
