A
relative of the convicted person requested the Human Rights Defender's
assistance to organize the necessary medical examination and treatment for the
convict.
The
applicant informed that the convicted person needed an examination and
treatment of a therapist, an ophthalmologist, a dermatologist, a neurologist, a
dentist.
Within
discussion procedure, the Human Rights Defender addressed official letters to
the RA Ministry of Justice, as well as the representatives of the Defender made
an unannounced visit to the penitentiary institution and had a private interview
with the convict.
As a
result, the convicted person underwent medical examinations and relevant medical
treatments were prescribed.
The
Human Rights Defender followed the process of medical treatment as well.
