The military serviceman's mother
appealed to the Human Rights Defender asking for assistance in conducting a
proper examination of his son's health and providing medical assistance.
According to the citizen, her son was found fit for military service with a
restriction during conscription and was drafted into the RA Armed Forces.
She was informed that the latter has a health problem related to the spine, and
his health condition worsened due to physical exertion during the service.
In connection with the issue raised, on the instructions of the Defender, the
discussion procedure began immediately, within the framework of which the issue
was discussed with the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Armenia.
As a result, a citizen informed that with the intervention of the Defender, the
son passed all the necessary examinations and he is under medical supervision.
Many other similar cases were resolved with the intervention of a Human Rights
Defender.
