On
March 4, the Human Rights Defender of the Republic of Armenia, Ms. Anahit
Manasyan received H.E. Ms. Kirsti Narinen. Ambassador Extraordinary and
Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Finland to the Republic of Armenia.
During
the meeting, a number of key issues in the field of human rights protection
were discussed.
In
particular, reference was made to issues related to the protection of the
rights of women, national minorities and persons with disabilities, the
prevention of hate speech, the safeguarding of religious freedom, as well as
guarantees of rights within the framework of criminal proceedings.
The
interlocutors emphasized the importance of international cooperation in the
protection of human rights and the strengthening of democratic values.
At
the end of the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their readiness to continue
joint efforts aimed at protecting and promoting human rights.
