On
July 31, the Human Rights Defender of the Republic of Armenia, Ms. Anahit
Manasyan, held a consultation with heads and staff of the sectoral departments
of the Human Rights Defender’s Office, as well as the responsible officials of
regional sub-divisions.
Issues
aimed at improving the work were discussed. Special attention was paid to the
upcoming changes in the operation of the Human Rights Defender’s hotline,
reforms related to personal data protection guarantees, increasing the
efficiency of examining applications-complaints, the expected changes in this
regard, the importance of maintaining rules of conduct and ethical standards,
as well as the improvement of existing mechanisms related to other areas.
The
Defender gave instructions and outlined the priorities of the work.
