On December 4, the Human Rights Defender of the Republic
of Armenia, Ms. Anahit Manasyan received H.E. Ms. Alexandra Cole, Ambassador
Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and
Northern Ireland to the Republic of Armenia.
Welcoming the Ambassador, Ms. Anahit Manasyan presented
the important directions of the Human Rights Defender's activity. The Defender
emphasized the determination to combat intolerance, discrimination and hate
speech within the framework of the Defender's mandate.
During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed a number
of issues related to the protection of human rights and of mutual interest.
Ambassador H.E. Ms. Alexandra Cole expressed her
gratitude to the Defender for the warm reception and productive discussion.
