I wish us all a happy Knowledge and Education Day.
Education is the main guarantee for building a free and
dignified society.
September 1 not only marks the start of a new academic
year, but also presents an opportunity to reassess the role of education in the
development of our society. This day is a start of new expectations, plans,
enrichment with knowledge and the implementation of new goals.
Knowledge is a powerful force that helps build a strong
and prosperous future. Through quality education, we can foster an environment
of tolerance, where respect for the dignity and rights of everyone are
guaranteed. A quality education is a chance to provide the necessary mechanisms
for the realization of those rights.
Here, I want to point out the mission of devoted
professionals in the field of education.
As the Human Rights Defender, I consider it my priority
to ensure that every child and young person has an equal opportunity to receive
a free, safe and inclusive quality education, paying particular attention to
the efforts aimed at improving teaching methodology and raising legal
awareness.
In this regard, I would like to stress the importance of
implementing serious reforms in human rights education in the Republic of
Armenia.
Once again, I congratulate all of us on this important
day and wish a safe and successful academic year filled with knowledge and
inspiration."
