On
May 20, one of the news websites published a video in which a participant in
the protest states that the reports of the Human Rights Defender do not contain
any reference to cases of ill-treatment by the police. Such a claim is clearly
untrue and is based on information that does not reflect reality.
The
annual reports of the Human Rights Defender of the Republic of Armenia,
including the 2024 report, have repeatedly highlighted the incidents of
violence and ill-treatment by the police, as well as presented relevant
recommendations aimed at preventing these phenomena.
