On
May 15, the Human Rights Defender of the Republic of Armenia, Ms. Anahit Manasyan
held a regular meeting with family members of missing persons.
This
time, the Defender received relatives of missing persons, as a result of
military operations on September 19-20, 2023, as well as the explosion of a
fuel depot on September 25, 2023. The meeting was confidential.
The
Human Rights Defender noted that the human rights and humanitarian issues
raised by the relatives are under her direct attention and relevant work will
continue to be carried out within the framework of her mandate.
The Defender
emphasizes that continuous steps must be taken by the competent authorities to
clarify the fate of missing persons, as well as to guarantee all the rights of
their relatives.
