The
guests of the two-day High-Level Conference dedicated to the 20th Anniversary
of the Human Rights Defender’s Institute of the Republic of Armenia, along with
Anahit Manasyan, visited the National Gallery of Armenia. They attended a
concert event performed by the students of the "Chakhruk" Cultural
Center.
The
founders and heads of the band, Anna and Anahit Mkhitaryan, accompanied the
band members throughout the entire evening.
On
the occasion, Anahit Manasyan presented a certificate of acknowledgment to the
"Chakhruk" ethno music group for their contributions to spreading
solidarity and kindness through song and music, as well as for promoting the
rights of persons with disabilities.
At
the end of the event, the guests of the international conference, along with
Anahit Manasyan, visited the History Museum of Armenia to view the bronze
statue of the Goddess Anahit.
The 2
days High-Level Conference dedicated to the 20thAnniversary of the Human Rights
Defender’s Institute of the Republic of Armenia with the title of Ombuds
Institutions and NHRIs amid Turbulent Times: Resilience and Challenges
dedicated to the 20th Anniversary of the Human Rights Defender’s Institute of
the Republic of Armenia as the only National Human Rights and Ombudsman
Institution in the country, participates heads and representatives of
Ombudsman’s Institutes of member countries of the Council of Europe and
equality bodies from more than 15 countries.
This
event is organised by the HRDO of Armenia in cooperation with the Council of
Europe, it is implemented by the CoE’s Division of Co-operation Programmes
under the project “Strengthening human rights safeguards for the displaced
population in Armenia” and by the European Union and Council of Europe joint
programme “Partnership for Good Governance”, co-funded by the European Union
and the Council of Europe, and implemented by the Council of Europe, in the
framework of the project “Promoting equality and non-discrimination in
Armenia”.
