At the Human Rights
Defender’s instruction, the Defender’s representatives made an unannounced
visit to Armavir Penitentiary Institution aimed at guaranteeing the rights of
persons on hunger strike.
The Defender’s
representatives had private interviews with them, examined the medical
documents, etc.
As a result of the private
interview, one of the 5 persons on hunger strike ended the hunger strike.
The results of the visit will
be summarized, and, if necessary, official letters will be addressed to the
competent state bodies.
