The Human Rights Defender's office is preparing the second interim report on the shelling towards Chinari, Aygepar, Berd settlements of Tavush region. This report will be sent to international organizations.
On July 14, peaceful civilians from Berd town informed the Human Rights Defender's office that the town was being shelled and provided more details.
The Human Rights Defender recorded the statements of the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia according to which Azerbaijani armed forces has targeted the civilian infrastructure and the civilian population of Berd town of Tavush region of Armenia with a combat UAV.
The Human Rights Defender strongly condemns the shelling towards civilian settlements of Armenia which was carried out by targeting civilian population, their health, life and property. Additional information on the results of our activities will be presented.
