The Project is implemented with the support of the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Armenian Representative Office of the American Bar Association (ABA).
The Project aims to develop the capacities of the staff of the Human Rights Defender’s Office and strengthen the cooperation with the organizations engaged in the protection of human rights, as well as raise public awareness of human rights and existing mechanisms for the protection of human rights.
Within the framework of the Project, periodic trainings were organized for the staff of the Human Rights Defender’s Office on the topics of the protection of the rights of persons with disabilities and women, the procedures for responding to complaints on elections, and the publications of mass media outlets, as well as the exclusion of discrimination and the protection of socio-economic rights.
Within the framework of the Project, working meetings-discussions of the staff of the Human Rights Defender’s Office were organized with the representatives of non-governmental organizations and local self-government bodies represented in the provinces.
