Human Rights Defender`s staff  also:

• immediately responds and conducts on-site investigations of complaints received on violation of rights that are in progress
• compiles and submits reports to the Human Rights Defender on the results of conducted study
• analyses legislation and draft legislation, prepares recommendations for harmonization of Armenian legislation with the requirements of international law
• analyses the work carried out in connection with complaints and the results of investigations conducted upon the Human Rights Defender’s initiative, summarizes results and submits recommendations to the Human Rights Defender.

PUBLIC RELATIONS AND INFORMATION DEPARTMENT

conducts press activities of the Human Rights Defender in mass media
ensures the development of necessary outreach programs to gain maximum dispersion of information connected to the issues of protecting human rights and freedoms, and implements

• arrangements for raising public awareness, as well as publishes information materials on human rights

INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION DEPARTMENT

• facilitates the development of international cooperation in this sphere
  studies and uses international experience to assist in the establishment of the national institution of the defender of human rights
• ensures close and on-going contacts of the office with similar departments in different countries.
